Our history

The story of La Postale began in 1993 when Samuel Gautré, then a young 22 year old philatelic enthusiast, decided to set up shop in the heart of Paris, Passage des Panoramas, in the heart of an old 1900th century bibliophile circle (created in 1800). He was immediately taken by this exceptional place steeped in history.

From then on, he undertook a renovation of this place in order to recreate and sublimate this reading room that once welcomed illustrious writers such as Zola, Hugo, Balzac... who met there with other intellectuals and enthusiasts. If the destination of this place has changed, the spirit remains the same with culture and passion as the common thread. It offers through Net Sales to all enthusiasts a wide range of selected, rare and quality pieces.

Since 2000, in order to satisfy an increasingly numerous and international clientele, the post office has turned to the organization of Auctions on Offers, giving the opportunity to thousands of buyers as well as to philatelists wishing to realize all or part of their collections to live their passion fully.
